SASTRA Cambodia: Empowering Communities Through Education & Economic Opportunity

CAMBODIA CHAPTER 

SASTRA Cambodia Chapter continues to builds on a strategic collaboration with Nomi Network, an organization dedicated to creating economic opportunities for survivors and women vulnerable to human trafficking. By equipping women with essential skills to produce goods for the global marketplace, Nomi Network demonstrates how empowering one woman can spark a ripple effect transforming her life, her family, and her community.

In 2014, FEM entrusted this initiative to SASTRA, ensuring a direct and lasting impact on children’s education in Cambodia and India. This milestone marked the beginning of SASTRA’s commitment to combine education with economic empowerment, creating pathways for resilience and dignity.

Today, SASTRA is taking the next step by establishing Human and Career Development Centers in collaboration with Nomi Network. These centers will provide children and youth in Cambodia with access to quality education and essential skill‑building opportunities, preparing them to thrive in both local communities and the global economy.

This partnership reflects SASTRA’s vision of building inclusive ecosystems where education and enterprise work hand in hand to end cycles of poverty and vulnerability, while nurturing future generations of leaders and change agents.
